Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Unit Assistant to join our team at Ascension Sacred Heart. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide administrative and clerical support to our clinical staff, ensuring seamless patient care and efficient operations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care by greeting patients and visitors, answering and screening telephone calls, and performing general clerical duties.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare team members to ensure timely and accurate patient care.
  • Schedule patients for individual appointments and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist with order entry processes, transfers, and discharges, and assemble and maintain patient charts.
  • Coordinate meetings, schedule rooms, and send notices as requested.
  • Maintain meeting minutes and enter and maintain timekeeping changes and staff schedules in computer systems.
Requirements
  • High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
