Quest Global is seeking an experienced Aerospace Electrical Engineer to join our team in Phoenix, AZ or Grand Rapids, MI. This full-time role comes with a competitive salary of $120,000 - $160,000 per year.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled engineer to design and document electrical circuit card assemblies. As an Aerospace Electrical Engineer, you will work closely with multidisciplinary project teams to plan, design, prototype, and test avionics transponders.

Responsibilities
  • Circuit Design: Conceptualize, design, support fab, and integrate digital, analog, and power circuitry, with supplemental RF principles, in the avionics realm.
  • Schematic Generation: Generate electrical schematics and review them with support for CAD layout (preferably using Altium).
  • Processor Design: Design circuits with microprocessors, memory, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, high-speed busses including PCIE, and various avionics interfaces.
  • Design Documentation: Generate detailed electrical schematics, oversee PCB layouts and routing designs, and create design documents including HRDs, HDDs, and HCIAs.
  • Leadership: Lead the design and development of processor CCAs for the T3CAS product line, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and integration with the selected RTOS.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform Design for Excellence (DFX) reviews, focusing on manufacturability, testability, and cost-effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in engineering or science (preferably Electrical Engineering).
  • Experience: Minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience in an electrical engineering role, including requirements definition, requirements verification, design reviews, and documentation, integration, test, and demonstration.
  • Avionics Experience: Hands-on experience designing and developing avionics products, preferably for surveillance (TCAS), displays, and/or recorders.
  • RTOS Integration: Proficiency in RTOS integration and understanding of its implications on hardware design.
  • Hardware Design Tools: Strong experience with hardware design tools for schematic capture, PCB layout, and routing.
  • Educational Background: Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for hardware design and development.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to produce clear and concise technical documentation.
  • US Citizenship: Must be a US Person, which requires US Citizenship or being a Green Card holder.
