Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at St. Bernard Church in Philadelphia. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our facilities, including the church, school buildings, and rectory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain major facility systems, including HVAC, electric, plumbing, and painting.
  • Perform routine repairs and maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Oversee and maintain parish equipment and ensure facilities and grounds are well-maintained and accessible.
  • Provide emergency on-call support as needed.
  • Ensure the collection and disposal of recycling and trash for all facilities.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in minor repair work in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and painting.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • Ability to complete background checks.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, climb ladders, walk, bend for extended periods of time, and lift heavy items.
