Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer PRN to join our team at Emory Healthcare. As a key member of our cardiac sonography team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure high-quality diagnostic scans
  • Perform, analyze, and document results of 2-D, M-Mode, and Doppler echocardiograms as ordered by a physician
  • Schedule and prepare patients for exams, maintain supplies, and equipment
  • Provide quality patient care to patients having procedures in the Echo Lab
  • Communicate and explain various procedures to the patient/family
  • Process all required paperwork and have working knowledge of all supplies and stock rooms
  • Assist in training of Cardiology staff and students
  • Perform and interpret the significance of various diagnostic tests
Requirements
  • Preferred graduate of an accredited program for Echocardiography and eligible for registry by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or Cardiac Credentialing International
  • Must pass registry exam within one year of employment
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association is required
