The Banquet Server plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional service during events and gatherings. This position requires a commitment to providing quality customer service while adhering to the standards set by the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate the needs of the business.
- Ensure food and beverage safety and quality align with hotel and franchise specifications.
- Welcome guests upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements.
- Process and deliver guests' beverage orders, employing suggestive selling techniques as needed.
- Serve food courses and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with departmental standards.
- Anticipate and respond to guests' needs promptly, maintaining positive relations at all times.
- Familiarize yourself with hotel services and local attractions to accurately address guest inquiries.
- Manage guest complaints effectively to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned service areas.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Previous experience in banquet or hospitality settings is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college education is a plus.
- Must meet the minimum age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Completion of ServSafe or food safety training is desirable.
- Alcohol awareness training (e.g., TIPS) is beneficial.
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are advantageous.
- Knowledge of local attractions and activities suitable for guests.
