About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Spiritual Care Provider to join our team. In this role, you will deliver wholistic ministry of spiritual care to patients, families, and team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide spiritual care, consultation, and short-term counseling to patients, families, and team members.
  • Respond to codes, emergencies, and crises, and assist families with their needs.
  • Participate in patient care planning, interdisciplinary team activities, and staff and patient-directed support groups.
  • Collaborate with the clinical pastoral education program, mentoring and orienting students as assigned.
  • Represent the values of the religious communities to health care professionals and hospital associates.

Requirements:

  • 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) at least three accredited by ACPE.
  • Eligible for board certification as a chaplain, completed within 18 months of hire.
  • Endorsed by faith group.
  • Completed graduate degree in religious studies, theology, divinity, or related field.
  • Prior clinical experience as a chaplain, preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • May be exposed to blood and body fluids; therefore, personal protective equipment must be worn as necessary.
  • Availability and transportation to serve on-call rotation as needed.
