Critical Care Respiratory Specialist Lead

Role Overview
We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in our adult critical care and emergency medicine departments. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for administering respiratory care procedures, coordinating patient care, and working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer respiratory care procedures and modalities in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Use evidence-based practices, clinical decision making, and skilled communication to create a safe patient environment and deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
- Operate specialized ventilators in critical and non-critical care venues, ensuring seamless patient care.
- Provide medication treatments and therapies per physician order and/or patient-driven respiratory protocols as prescribed.
- Clean, maintain, and ensure proper functionality of equipment, troubleshooting as necessary.
- Educate and instruct patients in purpose, technique, self-care, goal of therapy, and disease management.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide education on managing patients, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A graduate degree from an accredited respiratory care program.
- A minimum of 0 years of experience in respiratory care, with a strong foundation in critical care and emergency medicine.
- A valid Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license issued by the state in which you practice.
- An active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), or an active Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential if received prior to January 1, 2023.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
