About the Role

Holliswood Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Director of Nursing in managing the nursing department and maintaining the quality of care.
  • Conduct weekly wound/skin rounds to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.
  • Collaborate with the nursing staff to ensure effective communication and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Meet the medical needs of all residents and coordinate the planning for nursing services.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practice.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and hazards to ensure a safe environment for our residents.
  • Review and manage risk-related events and SNF metrics reporting.
  • Assist in emergency situations and support risk-related events.
  • Analyze patient safety incidents, medical errors, and potential risks.
  • Coordinate with Legal/Risk Management on investigations and claims.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely completion of medical records.
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, and orienting new nursing staff.
  • Oversee daily staffing processes and maintain flexibility with work schedules to address unpredictable needs.
Requirements
  • Current State RN license required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Long-Term Care settings.
  • 2 years of management experience preferred.
  • 1 year of staff education experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Evidence of basic leadership skills and supervision.
  • Flexible hours required.
