- Collaborate with the nursing staff to ensure effective communication and compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Meet the medical needs of all residents, ensuring their dignity and independence are maintained.
- Coordinate and direct the planning of nursing services, ensuring seamless delivery and high-quality care.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practice, staying up-to-date with the latest developments and best practices.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and hazards, ensuring a safe environment for our residents and staff.
- Review and manage risk-related events, working closely with our risk management team to minimize potential liabilities.
- Assist in emergency situations, providing support and guidance to our nursing staff as needed.
- Analyze patient safety incidents, medical errors, and potential risks, working to prevent future occurrences.
- Collaborate with our legal and risk management teams to investigate and manage claims.
- Ensure the accurate and timely completion of medical records, maintaining the highest standards of documentation.
- Assist with the interviewing, hiring, and orienting of new nursing staff, ensuring a smooth transition into our team.
- Oversee the daily staffing process, ensuring adequate coverage and high-quality care.
- Maintain a focus on infection control, working to prevent the spread of illness and maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Be flexible with your work schedule, adapting to the unpredictable needs of our residents and staff.
- Current State RN license required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Long-Term Care settings.
- 2 years of management experience preferred.
- 1 year of staff education experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills required.
- Evidence of basic leadership skills and supervision.
- Flexible hours required.
