• Assisting in the upkeep of classrooms, offices, research labs, and public spaces to ensure a comfortable and productive environment for students, faculty, and staff.

• Developing relationships with building occupants and responding to their requests in a timely and professional manner.

• Providing building access by locking and unlocking areas as scheduled by the department.

• Responding to campus crises situations to enhance public safety and minimize infrastructure damage.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in assigned areas.

• Operate powered and non-powered floor care equipment safely and efficiently.

• Work well with others in a team environment to achieve common goals.

• Learn and follow safety procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment as required.

• Lift and carry 25 to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 60 pounds occasionally, as needed.

• Work outdoors 10% of the time in temperatures below 32 degrees and above 90 degrees.

**Requirements**

• Must complete onboarding training or be enrolled in a program within 90 days of hire.

• Must be able to read, speak, and understand English to effectively communicate and understand others.

• Basic math skills and good work organization are essential.

• Ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends.

**Preferred Qualifications**

• One year of general work experience.

• A valid US or Canadian Driver's License.
