The Skidmore Shop is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to fill a key role in our retail operations. As a representative of the College, this position requires a high level of professionalism and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our diverse community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a cash register and provide excellent customer service throughout each day
  • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including receiving and processing merchandise
  • Assist with visual merchandising and display, including dressing mannequins and arranging table displays
  • Interact with customers, campus partners, and external vendors to provide a positive shopping experience
  • Collaborate with Shop staff to achieve sales goals and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Assist with events, promotions, and other projects as needed, including sales, pop-ups, and inventory management
  • Aid in managing student workers and providing guidance and support as needed
Requirements:
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask with ease
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to lift and move merchandise as needed
