Key Responsibilities:
Adjunct faculty at College of DuPage are tasked with course development and instruction in classroom, laboratory, or clinical environments. Courses may be delivered in various formats, including in-person, online, hybrid, or blended. Additionally, adjunct faculty are responsible for assessing student performance and ensuring timely submission of all necessary instructional documentation.
Essential Qualifications:
Our continuing education programs consist of short, targeted courses designed for personal enrichment and skill development. We are currently seeking culinary instructors to facilitate non-credit courses aimed at adult learners in the Food and Beverage sector. These classes feature hands-on culinary training covering a range of topics, including international cuisine, baking, fundamental skills and techniques, wine appreciation, and entertaining. Most adult courses are scheduled once a week for three hours, either on weekday evenings or during weekend mornings, lasting from 1 to 4 weeks. No academic credit is awarded for these courses.
- A minimum of two years of experience in adult education and/or two years of culinary expertise is required.
- Completion of Serve Safe certification will be necessary upon hiring, with costs covered by the college.
Compensation for these positions is provided through stipends for course assignments.
A background check will be conducted at the college's expense prior to employment.
