Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and personable Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our vibrant retirement community. This role is essential in ensuring the upkeep and safety of our facilities while also providing transportation services for our active senior residents.
The Facilities Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for the overall maintenance of the property, addressing various maintenance needs promptly and in accordance with safety regulations. Additionally, this position involves operating the community vehicle to facilitate resident outings.
Work Schedule: 8:30 AM - 5 PM, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as painting, flooring care, pressure washing, and basic plumbing repairs.
- Ensure timely completion of all maintenance requests while adhering to safety standards.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on community equipment.
- Promptly address maintenance needs in vacated living spaces.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in common areas, including walls, flooring, and woodwork.
- Provide safe and courteous transportation for residents to various destinations.
- Adhere to transportation safety protocols and regulations.
- Maintain a valid driver's license in compliance with state requirements.
- Operate within the legal framework of local and state codes.
Qualifications:
- A collaborative team player with a passion for supporting seniors.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Passenger endorsement certification is necessary.
- Proven experience in maintenance with skills in HVAC, drywall, carpentry, plumbing, and painting.
- Experience operating larger vehicles is preferred.
- Prior experience in senior living or related fields is advantageous.
