- Current medical license to practice in the United States, District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico.
- Board certified or board eligible.
- Completion of at least one year of an accredited graduate medical education internship.
- Completion of a training program in pulmonary medicine.
- Aged between 21 and 42 years (waivers considered on a case-by-case basis).
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.
