We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Wellpath. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in patient care by gathering essential information during the clinical process under the supervision of Registered Nurses.
Your responsibilities will include assisting nurses in various activities, leveraging your education and demonstrated competencies to contribute effectively to the healthcare team.
This role demands a commitment to supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care while collaborating closely with the nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with RNs and healthcare staff to implement established policies and procedures
- Gather patient history, verify medications, and make appropriate referrals for follow-up
- Adhere to designated work schedules and respond effectively to codes or patient crises
- Prioritize infection control techniques and principles to ensure patient safety and comfort
Requirements:
- Currently certified as a Medical Assistant in the State (if required by the State or the facility)
