Lead the Way in Transportation Services

The Transportation Practice Leader is a key role at OHM Advisors, responsible for driving the direction and growth of our transportation services region-wide. As a business sector leader, you will develop and execute strategies for success in our various markets, working closely with operational leaders to identify opportunities, key clients, and projects to pursue.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee business development and marketing strategies for transportation success.
  • Build key relationships with teaming partners and other industry leaders.
  • Serve as the market leader and represent OHM Advisors at conferences and industry events.
  • Ensure our talent and approach meet client needs.
  • Develop the Discipline's overall Quality process and promote its understanding and use company-wide.
  • Prepare the annual discipline budget as part of the yearly business plan process.
  • Work with the VP of Finance and other VPs and Directors to review and analyze costs, operations, and forecast data to maintain and improve discipline operations.
  • Compile and summarize operational revenue and sales projections and track on an ongoing basis.
  • Seek, identify, and onboard key discipline staff, focusing on recruiting, hiring, and growing staff.
  • Plan and implement personnel decisions.
  • Establish and track group utilization goals.
  • Manage key staff within the Discipline.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Direct background or knowledge of roadway design, bridge engineering, and/or traffic engineering.
  • The ability to identify business prospects, and key client issues, and plan for growth and success.
  • The ability to coach and train all levels of project team members from staff engineers and technicians to project managers and technical experts.
  • Excellent communication skills, good organizational skills, proven ability to manage people, and enjoy working in a team environment.
  • A Positive, charismatic attitude, with an eagerness to continue to grow our Transportation teams company-wide.
  • An inclusive approach that identifies strengths, focuses on the development, and helps all staff succeed.
