Position Overview:
As a Formulation Chemist, you will engage in various responsibilities associated with the development and consumer acceptance of chemical products.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop chemical formulations that adhere to internal ingredient standards and meet project timelines while ensuring compliance with industry safety practices and scientific accuracy.
- Execute performance evaluations against established benchmarks to confirm optimal functionality and superior performance.
- Enhance formulation components to control costs and ensure ingredient availability for desired applications.
- Oversee stability assessments, including initial production run evaluations, and maintain comprehensive and organized records.
- Prepare samples and manage documentation for microbiological and toxicological assessments, coordinating external testing as necessary.
- Collaborate with chemical suppliers to stay informed about new raw materials and explore alternative sourcing options to achieve cost efficiency.
- Analyze competitor products and compile technical reports based on standardized comparative testing data.
- Explore innovative raw materials and technologies through laboratory experiments, documenting findings and proposing potential applications.
- Provide technical support in response to consumer inquiries regarding product ingredients, usage, and potential adverse effects.
- Assist in training sales teams on new product launches prior to distribution.
- Maintain an organized and up-to-date laboratory database.
- Participate in problem-solving initiatives and conduct laboratory evaluations on both new and existing products.
- Collaborate with Engineers, Quality Control, Analytical Services, and external partners, including vendors and potential customers, as well as third-party manufacturers.
- Conduct field assessments related to formulations, raw materials, finished products, product applications, and the scaling of manufacturing and packaging processes for new, existing, and experimental products.
- Review scientific literature, technical reports, competitor documentation, vendor publications, and other resources relevant to the specialty chemical sector, product specifications, and formulations.
- Collect empirical data from Quality Control, Technical Services, and other departments to establish Product Development specifications for new materials and products, as well as enhancements to existing products and processes.
- Adhere to all applicable OSHA, EPA, and local regulatory requirements, along with company safety protocols.

Qualifications:
- A degree in Chemistry or a related discipline is required; advanced education is preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience in research and development of liquid chemical solutions.
