NOV is currently looking for a seasoned ESP Service Technician to join our team. This position involves the installation and retrieval of ESP systems, conducting routine inspections, and troubleshooting issues. The technician will also provide guidance and technical assistance to client personnel regarding the proper operation and maintenance of ESP systems. If you possess mechanical and electrical skills and are eager to advance your technical capabilities, this is an excellent opportunity to grow with a top-tier company in the industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain service vehicle and conduct daily inspections to ensure adherence to safety regulations.
- Gather data during testing and inspections to offer clients insights on equipment performance.
- Initiate operations for new wells and reactivate non-producing wells.
- Enhance the performance of downhole and surface equipment.
- Diagnose issues in wells experiencing non-productive time (NPT).
- Adapt swiftly to changing job demands and be available for overtime as necessary.
- Complete daily time records accurately.
- Provide training to other NOV staff on systems and equipment as required.
- Engage regularly with both internal and external clients.
- Report field failures and feedback to relevant departments.
- Timely completion and submission of field service documentation and daily reports.
- Adhere to all personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Follow all NOV and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Employ safe working practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Background in mechanical or electrical fields is essential.
- Experience in starting up and troubleshooting ESP systems is required.
- Must pass a drug screening and background check.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License is mandatory.
- Willingness to travel weekly and work overtime as needed.
- Overtime may be required during weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to adapt and learn all job functions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively interact with clients and contractors.
- Capability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
- Must be able to wear respiratory protection as required.
- Ability to climb ladders.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements for up to 12 hours daily.
- Ability to lift weights up to 50 lbs regularly.
