Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Production Equipment Operator to contribute to our operations. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient functioning of our production machinery while adhering to stringent safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate various production machinery and mobile equipment according to established guidelines.
- Utilize hand and power tools effectively in daily operations.
- Engage in physical labor as required by the role.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance checks and address basic maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed on equipment as per the preventative maintenance program.
- Comply with Nortrak's safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Exemplify and promote our core values: Respect, Responsibility, Curiosity, Courage, Passion, and Diversity.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity to handle tools and equipment effectively.
- Regular lifting of weights up to 25 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds.
- Visual acuity for close and distance vision, as well as depth perception.
- Hearing capabilities suitable for the job requirements.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED is preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment is advantageous.
- Familiarity with operating machinery and mobile equipment is essential.
- Ability to interpret work orders and blueprints is preferred.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Basic mathematical skills for handling numbers, fractions, and decimals.
