We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at Tufts University. As a key member of our Clinical Pathology Laboratory, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely diagnostic test results for patients and research animals.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a wide range of laboratory testing procedures, including CBC, clinical chemistry, coagulation, and miscellaneous tests.
- Provide exceptional customer service, interacting with clinicians, technicians, and students to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Manage clerical tasks, such as sample accessioning, troubleshooting patient test orders, and preparing sample shipments to outside labs.
- Participate in student education and training, answering questions and providing instruction on routine diagnostic tests.
- Work collaboratively with lab and hospital personnel to meet expected turnaround times for patient testing.
- AS or BS in a science-based program required; MLT or MT certification and experience in a diagnostic lab setting preferred.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in a human or veterinary diagnostic lab setting.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to cover weekend, holiday, and on-call shifts.
Competitive salary range: $32.40 - $44.70 per hour, based on experience and internal equity.
