Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Manager to join our Supply Chain Solutions division in Laurel Hill, SC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing multiple accounts, ensuring profitable retention and growth, and meeting financial, employee, safety, and customer satisfaction goals.


Essential Functions:
  • Goal setting, skills assessment, IDPs, career development, performance evaluation, and ongoing employee feedback.
  • Developing direct and indirect reports, providing relevant HR skills training, and conducting quality selection of qualified personnel.
  • Maintaining corrective staffing levels to avoid unnecessary use of outside labor, creating location processes, and cross-training staff.
  • Customer satisfaction/problem resolution, review of KPI tracking, and improvement, ensuring all staff is trained in Transportation/Distribution Management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Demonstrated project management and facilitation skills, strong oral and written communication skills, and ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization.
  • Able to work independently and as a member of a team, flexibility to operate in a fast-paced environment, capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
  • Detailed-oriented with excellent follow-up practices, knowledge of truck brokerage, logistics/transportation industry, Ryder Safety Programs, and Ryder Financial Reporting and accounting procedures.

Compensation Package:

The compensation package includes a base salary of $110,000-$125,000 per year, with the potential for up to 20% annual bonus based on performance. The estimated annual salary for this position is $118,375.
