Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Night Audit Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing front desk and audit functions, balancing food and beverage outlets, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist and oversee all front desk/audit functions
  • Balance food and beverage outlets
  • Balance and post front office accounts
  • Distribute daily reports and other documents as requested
  • Follow checklists to ensure all duties are performed
  • Work with staff to resolve guest requests
  • Handle guest check-in/check-out needs, inquiries, and reported problems
  • Communicate with bellpersons/drivers/housekeeping
  • Be responsible for house/cash bank and deposit keys
  • Obtain and verify essential guest information
  • Assign guest rooms based on reservation requirements
  • Read, maintain, and make entries in the front desk log book
  • Check for guest mail or messages
  • Inquire about guest satisfaction
  • Listen to guest comments and concerns
  • Thank guests for staying with us and offer to make future reservations
  • Oversee the issue of other department keys and maintain a log
  • Ensure timely delivery of wake-up calls and express checkout bills
  • Be aware of hotel emergency procedures
  • Adhere to hotel policies and procedures
  • Carry out reasonable requests from management
  • Maintain computerized hotel systems
  • Handle major guest complaints and disturbances
  • Report physical, financial, and personal discrepancies to management
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Good working knowledge of hospitality accounting systems
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively
  • Ability to exercise judgment in evaluating situations and making sound decisions
