Business Operations Supervisor

The Business Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a division or department business office, ensuring compliance with various state and federal laws and billing requirements to maximize allowable revenues. This role interacts with outside vendors, agencies, and internal professional staff to achieve this goal.
Key Responsibilities- Assigns, schedules, supervises, monitors, and evaluates the work of office support personnel to ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
- Assists in the planning, implementation, supervision, and evaluation of services and programs.
- Manages special programs and projects as assigned.
- Assists in the development and monitoring of the division/department budget.
- Reviews, prepares, and/or submits various administrative and technical reports; compiles statistical data for reports.
- Ensures compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding confidentiality within assigned program areas.
- Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying.
- A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's degree with major coursework in Business Administration, Business Management, Accounting, or a related field.
- Additional experience may substitute for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
- Two (2) years of increasingly responsible office management or administrative/managerial experience, working with complex programs and systems.
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience is preferred.
This position is represented by the Local 39 bargaining unit. The department currently has one (1) vacancy, and Tehama County is establishing an eligibility list to fill future vacancies for a Business Operations Supervisor, as well as subsequent vacancies.
