Job Title: Senior Technology Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technology Designer to join our team at KFI Engineers PC. As a key member of our design team, you will play a critical role in the successful execution of projects, providing technical and engineering excellence, and delivering high-quality work to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop low-voltage systems, including voice/data telecommunications cabling infrastructure, outside plant infrastructure, audio/visual systems, and security systems.
  • Prepare engineering documents and equipment specifications to meet contracted scope of work and ensure compliance with industry design standards.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of design standards, including RCDD, TIA/EIA, CPTED, CPP, PSP, NEC, and NFPA.
  • Develop estimates for assigned scope of work and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure successful project execution.
  • Support business development efforts through input to proposals and meetings with prospective customers.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of relevant technical design experience in commercial buildings.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with designers, engineers, and project managers.
  • Technical degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other applicable design and engineering fields.
  • RCDD Certification is required.
