We are seeking a highly skilled Archaeological Consultant to join our team at WSP. As a key member of our cultural resources group, you will play a critical role in providing technical assistance and guidance for the collection, identification, and analysis of artifacts and data.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical expertise in archaeological fieldwork, including site recordation, survey, construction monitoring, and excavation.
- Conduct research and analysis to support cultural resources management and environmental impact assessments.
- Develop and implement site Health and Safety Plans (HASPs) to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute project work and provide guidance to junior team members.
- Prepare and present technical reports, presentations, and visualizations to communicate research findings and recommendations.
- Master's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of relevant post-education experience in archaeological fieldwork.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in research techniques and local/regional prehistoric and/or historic archaeology.
- Working knowledge of State and Federal protection regulations, preservation guidelines, and consulting processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, and cross-functional teams.
