Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled IT Solutions Engineer - Change & Release Manager to join our Cybersecurity & Digital Operations Division. The IT Solutions Engineer will be responsible for overseeing change, configuration, and release management in a hybrid infrastructure that includes both on-premises and various cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement standardized methods and procedures for effective management of changes to IT infrastructure, aiming to reduce incidents and their impact on services.
  • Design and execute standard processes to identify configurations, track changes, and manage version control.
  • Develop a strategic roadmap for enhancing the current Change Management Database (CMDB).
  • Lead the planning and execution of a unified platform for change, configuration, and release management.
  • Coordinate the release of all internal, SaaS, and Cloud modifications, ensuring clear communication with impacted teams.
  • Evaluate requests for change (RFCs) to ensure rigorous and consistent application of processes across the organization.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within the Change Management processes.
  • Generate and analyze metrics to assess adherence to change, configuration, and release management processes.
  • Contribute to the development of integrations and orchestration frameworks.
  • Provide expertise in DevOps, build and release, and CI/CD practices to agile teams.
  • Facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, preparing agendas and distributing minutes to stakeholders.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience -OR-
  • Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience -OR-
  • Doctorate with 1+ year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT systems, including analysis, infrastructure, engineering, and programming.
  • 3 years of experience managing Change Management processes in hybrid IT environments.
  • Experience in supporting change, configuration, and release management during transitions from on-premises to cloud solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of major public cloud providers (Azure/AWS/GCP) and government environments.
  • Certifications in Agile methodologies and/or cloud practitioner-level certifications for Azure and AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, application release management, and CI/CD automation.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

This role is not classified as a Testing Designated Position (TDP).
