Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Site Supervisor-Event Specialist II to join our team at the City of Novi Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional rental experiences for parties, corporate events, weddings, meetings, and other events.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and process facility reservations and coordinate use of facilities with staff and the public.
  • Input schedules, generate invoices and reports, and maintain accounts receivable/payments.
  • Conduct application processes, review and approve applications, permits, and licenses.
  • Communicate effectively with administrative personnel, staff members, community, contractors, and vendors.
  • Conduct facility tours for potential renters.
  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of constituents.
  • Good organization skills and the ability to undertake a variety of time-sensitive tasks.
  • Phenomenal customer service skills.
  • Assist with front desk operations, including phone and guest services.
  • Implement and enforce rules and policies.
  • Schedule staff to cover events.
Requirements
  • Equivalent of knowledge and use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, and social media.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods used in organizing and supervising facilities and activities.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, program participants, volunteers, and the general public.
  • Good leadership skills.
  • General knowledge of technology.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Coursework or experience in Guest Services duties, working with the public, supervising part-time staff, or another related field.
  • Driver's license is preferred.
