Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Senior Engineer in Gas Utility Systems to enhance our Integrity Engineering Services team. The successful candidate will possess 7-10 years of relevant experience in gas utility engineering and ideally hold an active Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct engineering analyses and provide insights related to gas capacity requests, operational procedures, and facility integrity evaluations.
  • Engage in the design and analysis of small-scale complex projects, contributing to larger initiatives as needed.
  • Gather and assess data using established methodologies to support informed decision-making within the department.
  • Organize resources effectively to ensure efficient project execution in alignment with company policies.
  • Evaluate existing processes and recommend enhancements to improve operational efficiency.
  • Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate information exchange that benefits TRC.
  • Assist colleagues in developing technical solutions through various tasks of varying complexity.
  • Enhance personal and professional skills within your area of expertise to contribute to the organization's growth.
  • Perform engineering studies and investigations to identify corrective actions for potential issues.
  • Review work completed by peers for accuracy and ensure interdisciplinary design compatibility.
  • Provide technical guidance and supervision to junior engineers and designers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology from an accredited institution.
  • Active PE license is preferred.
  • 7-10 years of experience in gas utility engineering.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working within a Project Management team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Proactive in identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Willingness to travel as required by project demands.
