Job Title: Senior Engineer - Oil and Gas

Farnsworth Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer - Oil and Gas to join our team in Indianapolis, IN.

About the Role:

We are looking for a seasoned engineer with expertise in oil and gas engineering, project management, and technical leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical leadership and project management on various sizes of projects, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and coordinating efforts with support groups to ensure a quality on-time product for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership and project management on various sizes of projects.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate efforts with support groups.
  • Provide technical support as part of an engineering team on large/complex projects as needed.
  • Project development - provide technical support for the development of projects (conceptual through final design).
  • Lead and/or support proposal efforts, working with multiple disciplines and subcontractors for developing scope and competitive pricing.
  • Expand on relationships and workload with current clients and support efforts as needed for pursuit of new clients.
Requirements:
  • BS in Civil, Mechanical, or Petroleum Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum.
  • 10+ years of experience in an engineering technical role in the oil, natural gas, or similar industry.
  • 5+ years performing project work as a project manager with a firm understanding and experience in applying project management tools and best practices.
  • Highly motivated self-starter.
  • General understanding of, and able to interpret and apply, DOT, API, ANSI, ASME and owner regulations, codes and standards.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) a plus.
  • Professional Project Manager (PMP) a plus.
  • Engineering of pipeline pump stations and natural gas compressor stations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to positively influence others and develop strong internal and external relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage a wide variety of issues on multiple projects.
  • Strong team skills complemented with a strong work ethic.
  • Supervisory experience a plus.
