Altium Packaging is seeking a highly skilled and experienced EHS Site Leader to provide leadership for our organization in areas of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS).
Job Summary:The EHS Site Leader will be responsible for leading the development of EHS system improvement plans, ensuring compliance with required EHS regulations, guidelines, and practices, and conformance to Altium Packaging Standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and lead implementation of safety practices and cultural changes, demonstrating genuine care for people.
- Lead the facility inspection process to identify environmental, health, and safety risks and work with facility leaders to document corrective actions.
- Develop environmental, health, and safety procedures for all areas of the facility, including Lockout/Tagout, Alternative Protective Measures, Machine Guarding, Safety Data Sheets, etc.
- Prepare and schedule training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics defined by Altium Corporate.
- Monitor compliance with Altium Packaging EHS standards.
- Deliver continuous improvement in support of achieving a loss-free work environment.
- Report, investigate, and log employee incidents, facility incidents, and near-miss reports into the organizational tracking system.
- 3+ years of experience in EHS-related field.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient knowledge of regulatory requirements of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and other federal and state agencies.
- Considerable knowledge of EHS practices, systems, and regulations and risk management.
- Capable of initiating and managing projects in a team setting.
- Skills in managing cases involving work-related incidents and employee follow-up after an incident occurs.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
- Move about the entire facility or remain stationary for periods of time as necessary.
- Position self to lower levels to observe machinery.
- Communicate with production staff, supervisors, managers, and other staff as necessary.
- Move materials or equipment weighing up to 35lbs.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required at all times.
