Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Washington Gastroenterology is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and improving the quality of life for our patients and communities. We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Bellevue Clinic Team.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care in the Medical Office setting, utilizing sound judgment and cognitive abilities to make informed decisions based on scientific nursing knowledge.
  • Prepare patients for examination by greeting them in a positive and professional manner, gathering vital signs, and escorting them to the exam room.
  • Update and document patient information, including medications, problem lists, allergies, and health history, in the patient medical record.
  • Provide education and instruction to patients on routine medical questions, procedures, and ordered tests.
  • Assist patients with prescription refill requests within Washington Gastroenterology policy.
  • Manage nursing in-box requests and maintain sample medication supplies and patient care supply inventory.
  • Support administrative functions of the medical office by assisting administrative staff as needed.
  • Obtain insurance authorization for necessary medications prescribed by Washington Gastroenterology providers.
  • Schedule patient procedures, lab, and x-ray appointments, as well as follow-up visits.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program.
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred.
  • Current license as an LPN in the State of Washington.
  • Current BLS certification.
Physical Activities and Requirements:
  • Occasional travel may be required to other local locations on an as-needed basis.
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout the day, up to 10 hours per day.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and performing administrative duties, including the use of computers.
  • Ability to bend, twist, stoop, and reach.
  • Able to lift and carry supplies and equipment as needed (up to 25 pounds).
