About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join WSP's New England team as a Civil/Traffic Transportation Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and guidance for infrastructure construction and rehabilitation projects in the public and private sectors. Your expertise will be essential in the traffic analysis, improvement, design, and operation of streets and highways, their networks, adjacent land uses, and interaction with other modes of transportation and their terminals.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical assistance and guidance for infrastructure construction and rehabilitation projects
Conduct traffic capacity analyses, review permitting, and prepare traffic signal designs
Design roadway projects from concept development through construction document preparation
Ensure that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards for design, safety, and functionality

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Civil/Traffic Transportation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline, with 7 to 10 years of relevant post-education experience in civil engineering and prior traffic design experience. You will also have a Professional Engineer's license in Massachusetts or the ability to obtain within one year. Additionally, you will have proficiency with technical writing, AutoCAD or Microstation, and traffic engineering software including HCS, Synchro/SimTraffic, VISSIM, Sidra, CORSIM, and similar modeling tools.
