We are seeking a skilled Railcar Maintenance Technician to join our team at Rescar Companies. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our railcar fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and repair railcar equipment, including trucks, safety appliances, brake systems, wheels, and draft systems
- Diagnose and identify malfunctions in railcar systems
- Test and operate engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Clean and maintain railcar units and components
- Ensure proper operation of railcar equipment
Requirements:
- Good work ethic and attention to detail
- Experience with hand tools and mechanical equipment
- Previous mechanic experience desired
- Familiarity with welding a plus
