Surgical Team Associate

Career Crunch is currently seeking skilled Surgical Technologists to join our team. As a key member of our sterile team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.
Job SummaryWe are looking for experienced professionals with a strong background in surgical technology to assist in readying the room, setting up back tables, and preparing anticipated instruments and equipment. Your attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure will be essential in maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
Responsibilities- Function as an integral part of the sterile team to ensure seamless operating room procedures.
- Assist in preparing the room, including opening supplies, performing surgical scrub, and setting up back tables.
- Anticipate and meet the needs of surgeons by passing instruments, sutures, and other necessary items.
- Maintain a safe and sterile environment through rigorous adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Participate in needle and sponge counts with the circulating nurse to ensure accuracy.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A graduate degree from an accredited course in surgical technology.
- Surgical Technician Certification (CST) is preferred at the time of employment; certification is required within 6 months.
- At least 2-3 years of acute care hospital-based operating room experience.
- Proven expertise in Ortho, Neuro, General Surgery, Spine & Robotics settings.
- Strong knowledge of surgery principles and procedures.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Career Crunch provides a competitive compensation package, including an estimated salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience. Our full-time positions offer:
- 80 hours per pay period.
- Regular working hours: 6:30 am - 5:00 pm.
- Call schedule: 1 day/week and 1 weekend/month, compensated at $4.00/hour.
- Callback: minimum of 2 hours' pay at time-and-a-half when called in.
- Shift differential: evening shift (3 pm - 11:30 pm) = 8%, night shift (11:00 pm - 7:30 am) = 11%.
