Customer Service Representative

O'Neal Steel is seeking a Customer Service Representative to assist our Sales Department at our Lafayette, LA facility.

The ideal candidate will perform assigned tasks to support the overall sales effort, including obtaining local buy-out materials from approved suppliers at the lowest cost consistent with considerations of quality, reliability of source, and urgency of need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze quotations received and select or recommend suppliers for orders.
  • Locate fill-in inventory from local suppliers to meet urgent requirements.
  • Key quotations and correspondence as directed by sales representatives.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and recording keeping regarding the sales function.
  • Assist sales representatives in expediting and follow-up of orders.
  • Provide support to the sales staff in giving customers the best possible quality and service.

Requirements:

  • Associate or Bachelor Degree in Business, Administration, or pursuing such a degree.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Previous Customer Service experience is a plus.
