About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at JPS Health Network. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate radiologic equipment to produce high-quality patient images, adhering to strict safety protocols and radiation safety guidelines.
  • Position patients for each anatomical view, using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary, and effectively communicate with patients to ensure their understanding of the radiographic procedure.
  • Transport patients within the guidelines defined by JPS Radiology Department and Acclaim Physician Group, ensuring a safe and efficient experience.
  • Monitor accessory equipment and assist physicians with fluoroscopic procedures, demonstrating knowledge of aseptic technique, emergency medications, and equipment.
  • Process images and critiques for optimal quality, positioning, and technical factors, matching with appropriate documentation for interpretation.
  • Understand and utilize Picture Archival Computer System (PACS), Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and other software related to job responsibilities.
  • Provide a safe and clean environment, ensuring the operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, troubleshooting malfunctions, and reporting equipment problems to Biomed and Manager.
  • Provide education and training to affiliated radiology technology programs and orientation and training to new technologists.
Requirements
  • Associates degree or equivalent from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology Science.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification.
  • Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiographer.
  • Current JPS recognized CPR certification.
