Job Summary

As a Geotechnical Engineer 2 at CDM Smith, you will play a key role in creating engineering designs for various geotechnical projects, including excavation, dewatering, shallow and deep foundations, dams, reservoirs, and levees. You will work under general supervision to develop designs of basic to moderate complexity that meet client project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop geotechnical engineering designs for various projects, including excavation, dewatering, shallow and deep foundations, dams, reservoirs, and levees.
  • Review and revise draft designs to ensure they meet client project requirements and company standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical engineers, project managers, and clients, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in geotechnical engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in geotechnical engineering design or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of geotechnical engineering principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
