Work Type: As needed - 3 to 6 shifts monthly

Compensation: $50.00 per hour

ROLE OVERVIEW
The Rehabilitation Therapist serves as a key member of the therapy team, engaging in the assessment and treatment of patients based on contemporary practices in rehabilitation therapy. This role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and adherence to all relevant regulations and the organizational philosophy, policies, and standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations of patients, adhering to established standards of practice while demonstrating the evolution of treatment plans and the application of suitable therapeutic techniques; document patient progress through appropriate written records; collaborate with physicians, patients, families, and other healthcare professionals regarding treatment and progress, as well as with external agencies for effective discharge planning; utilize unscheduled time to assist in other areas of patient care.
- Manage and prioritize personal schedule in alignment with patient care demands and departmental duties.
- Exhibit proper use and upkeep of departmental equipment and supplies; actively participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, rounds, and peer evaluations; engage in program development as directed by site leadership; and pursue continuing education opportunities to maintain professional competency.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Preferred: Minimum of one year of experience in rehabilitation therapy.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
- Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: Advanced degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
- Required: Valid license to practice rehabilitation therapy in the state.
- Required: Current CPR/BLS Certification from an accredited provider upon hire.
