About the Role

The Section Chief will lead the Pediatric Radiology team at the University of Chicago's Department of Radiology. This is a full-time position with a renewable term of up to five years.

The appointee will be responsible for fostering clinical and academic excellence, implementing performance improvement methods, and providing guidance for educational advancement and research endeavors.

The role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Foster professional and academic excellence within the Pediatric Radiology team.
  • Implement strategies to improve performance and well-being.
  • Provide support and guidance for educational advancement and research endeavors.
  • Train and supervise medical students, residents, and fellows.

The University of Chicago Medical Center is a Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center, and Comer Children's Hospital offers a comprehensive range of pediatric services with a total of 172 general pediatric, NICU, and PICU beds.

Requirements
  • Medical Doctorate or equivalent.
  • Board certified or eligible in Radiology.
  • Completed a Pediatric Radiology fellowship or equivalent experience.
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Illinois and Indiana.
