Overview

The Customer Service Rep II plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to our members and providers. This position is responsible for addressing inquiries related to benefits, eligibility, claims status, and accessing care through our network of providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Respond to member and provider inquiries with accuracy and professionalism.
  2. Facilitate the resolution of issues and complaints, ensuring a positive experience.
  3. Document all interactions in our database clearly and promptly.
  4. Provide support to other team members as necessary.
  5. Meet attendance and quality standards consistently.
  6. Strive for first call resolution to enhance customer satisfaction.
  7. Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on delivering outstanding customer service.
  8. Perform additional duties as assigned, adapting to the evolving needs of the organization.

Qualifications

Education:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; some college or vocational training is preferred.

Experience:

A minimum of two years in customer service is required, ideally within insurance, managed care, or a healthcare provider setting. Experience in a call center environment is highly desirable.

Skills and Knowledge:

Familiarity with state and federal programs such as Medicaid and Medicare Advantage Plans is advantageous. Proficiency in Spanish or Vietnamese is a plus. Knowledge of medical terminology and claims processing is preferred.

Personal Attributes:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Flexibility and a willingness to engage in a dynamic team environment are essential.

Work Environment:
