The Business Unit Control team plays a critical role in monitoring and evaluating profit and loss, risk management, pricing strategies, and internal financing activities.
This position will concentrate on daily oversight within our global product control framework, which includes analyzing estimated versus actual profit and loss, net asset value (NAV) reporting, reconciliation processes, and both daily and weekly management reporting. The ideal candidate will not only implement established controls but will also pinpoint deficiencies and opportunities for enhancement.
Key Responsibilities
- NAV Reporting - oversee daily operations and reporting related to the organization's NAV, covering revenue, expenses, returns, and more.
- Break Investigation - conduct reviews and investigations of discrepancies between T0 and T1, focusing on both revenue and non-revenue items through comprehensive data analysis, including detailed commentary.
- Monitoring and Controls - ensure continuous oversight to identify, highlight, and escalate issues across various processes and workflows.
- Reporting and Projects - generate various daily and weekly reports for upper management. Participate in the enhancement of existing tools and ongoing system development and implementation.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in fund accounting, financial oversight, or a combination of both.
- Meticulous attention to detail; demonstrates thoroughness and strong accountability for work.
- Proven success in cross-functional collaboration, particularly with investment professionals and senior leadership.
- Exhibited initiative and strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with individuals at all levels.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Experience in senior management reporting.
- Skills in automation and process improvement; project management experience.
- Familiarity with Murex, Geneva, or Imagine is a plus.
- Proactive, detail-oriented problem solver with a commitment to contributing to the organization's reputation and success.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while effectively prioritizing tasks and managing time.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $160,000 to $250,000. The organization offers a comprehensive compensation package that includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonuses, and a full benefits package. When finalizing an offer, consideration is given to an individual's experience level and qualifications to create a competitive total compensation package.
