We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fence Installation Supervisor to join our team at American Fence Company, Inc. Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Verify that all necessary materials and tools are loaded onto the truck before arriving at the job site.
- Installation Oversight: Make decisions on how to conduct the installation of the project, including determining the best placement of terminations based on boundaries.
- Customer Communication: Discuss fencing needs with customers and clarify specifications when necessary.
- Site Preparation: Prepare the site area for installation, including removing obstacles from the designated fence path when required.
- Measurement and Layout: Measure and lay out fence lines, mark posthole positions, and follow instructions, shop drawings, blueprints, or specifications.
- Post Installation: Align posts, verify vertical alignment, and set posts in upright positions in postholes.
- Concrete Work: Mix and pour concrete around the bases of posts or tamp soil into postholes to embed posts.
- Fence Assembly: Assemble and install custom ornamental iron fences and gates on customer property.
- Quality Control: Ensure that the specifications for the site have been met by the crew and/or subcontractors.
- Administrative Tasks: Complete administrative tasks such as collecting signatures from all work performed, employee time sheets, and other paperwork.
- Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, reach lifts, skid steers, and attachments for loading and unloading trucks, installation of fences, or moving materials on company property or at job sites.
- Safety Protocols: Inspect and complete safety checklists for all equipment, power tools, and machinery prior to each use.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 2 years of heavy construction experience required, with 1 year of experience as a supervisor or foreman.
- Skills: Attention to detail, ability to read and speak English, excellent customer service, and ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
