Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective coaching strategies to support participants in achieving their employment goals.
- Collaborate with the case management team to ensure that all activities are aligned with the mission, vision, values, and brand of Goodwill NCW.
- Provide training and support to participants on job skills and soft skills to meet employment standards.
- Identify participant strengths, interests, and needs to determine the most suitable training methods and serve as an advocate for participants.
- Communicate effectively with participants, families, employers, and other stakeholders to ensure that skills instruction support meets the specific needs of each participant.
- Observe participant performance and behavior and complete required documentation within expected timeframes.
- Manage own timecard, mileage, and expense tracking to ensure records are accurate and completed within expected timeframes.
- Work cooperatively and collaboratively with Goodwill NCW team members, participants, families, and employers to ensure consistent support for participants.
- Participate in accrediting, licensing, and funding audit meetings as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- At least six months' experience working with individuals with barriers is preferred.
- A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required to travel to multiple locations.
- Possess a reliable vehicle with at least $100,000 each person, $300,000 each accident/occurrence auto insurance coverage is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to observe, redirect, and document effectively.
- Ability to engage effectively in speaking and active listening.
- Knowledge of de-escalation techniques.
- Ability to give clear instruction or directions to others.
- Ability to utilize body language or gesture when communication barriers exist.
- Considers and responds appropriately to the needs, feelings, and capabilities of others.
- Strong creativity and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness and ability to work various hours which may include evenings and weekends.
- Ability to adjust to the changing needs of the department and organization and willingness to jump in and help where needed.
- Work is performed in various environments with extensive team member contact and frequent interruptions.
- Primary function requires sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in varying settings; to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, twist, lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight.
