Job Title: Barista - Coffee Connoisseur

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our team at Elegant Staffing. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items to our customers. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace, as well as providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve beverages and food items consistently by adhering to all recipe standards and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about coffee, tea, and drink preparation and products.
  • Maintain clean equipment, supplies, and workspaces.
  • Manage cashier's responsibilities, including but not limited to: completing customer transactions, greeting customers, answering inquiries, etc.
  • Follows standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing all products.
  • Assist with setup, cleanup, stock work, and handling of food items.
  • Efficiently resolving problems with customers' orders in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring that food health and safety regulations are followed by cleaning and sterilizing food preparation areas on a regular basis.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
  • ServeSafe food handling certification is preferred.
  • Sound knowledge of techniques for Drip coffee, Expresso Bar, Pastry stations, coffee grinding and brewing equipment, POS operation, and Credit Card machine transactions.
  • At least 12+ months of proven experience working as a Barista is required.
  • Able to work in a continuously standing position for five or more hours.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
  • Ability to work shifts inclusive of days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Working smartphone for our app access.
  • Eligible to work in the US.
