Family of Kidz is seeking a qualified Teacher of the Hearing Impaired to join our team. As a member of our staff, you will work with deaf and hard of hearing students, providing instruction and support to help them develop and maintain essential skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to identify students' needs and develop individualized education plans.
  • Provide instruction and support to students in the development and maintenance of skills specified in their IEPs.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and submit electronic billing on a daily basis.
  • Attend professional development trainings to stay up-to-date on best practices and maintain a high level of professionalism.
  • Collaborate with lead supervisors, school teams, and other professionals to ensure seamless communication and support.
Requirements:
  • NYS Certification as a Teacher of Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with deaf and hard of hearing students, preferably in a setting focused on supporting children and their families.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
