Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled I&E Maintenance Technician to join our team at Röhm. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for supporting the maintenance and repair services of all instruments, control systems, electrical equipment, and process analyzers at our facility.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation equipment, including transmitters, valves, I/P, actuators, flow meters, RTD, thermocouples, motors, breakers, transformers, relays, fuses, resistors, AC Drives, PLC's, etc.
- Calibrate and troubleshoot systems using drawings, field inspections, system readings, and input from other departments.
- Perform electrical work from 24v DC to 4160 AC.
- Perform DCS, electrical, and instrumentation installation, preventive maintenance, and repair work.
- Maintain advanced monitoring devices, including gas, flame, or fire detectors, vibration, and temperature monitors.

Requirements

- High School Diploma or equivalent required; graduation from a technical trade school and/or completion of an apprenticeship, certification, or associate degree program preferred.
- 5 years related experience in process control instrumentation.
- Knowledge of relevant technical equipment, reliability drivers, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Working knowledge of instrument, electrical, and analyzer standards as applied in the petrochemical industry and general knowledge of various Codes (e.g. API, ASME, ANSI, NFPA, ISA).
- Must be able to read manuals, P&IDs, loop drawings.
- Must be a self-starter and able to perform duties with little to no supervision.
- Knowledge of DCS systems, analyzers, transmitters, valves, PLC's, and variable speed drives.
- Proficiency with a variety of I/E hand tools, meters, instrument calibration equipment, etc.
- Working knowledge of electricity, electrical systems, and motors.
- Can read and understand P&ID's and schematic wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of EHS and process safety standards.
- Ability to exercise sound decision making and judgment aligned with department objectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, written and oral.
- The ability to develop skills within the team.
- SAP experience in areas of Plant Maintenance.
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite tools.
- On-call ability required, 24/7 operations. Ability to work overtime and on nights, weekends, or holidays, as necessary.
- Must possess or obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card prior to first day of employment.
- Possess a current, valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the United States.
