Job Title: Senior Systems Administrator

Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for providing primary support and management of the IT server infrastructure and hosted systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide primary support and management of the IT server infrastructure and hosted systems.
  • Support first-tier technical staff with the resolution of more complex issues related to software tools, applications, databases, and system access.
  • Analyze and resolve hardware and software problems for end users, with primary emphasis on server-related issues.
  • Support System Administration of primary VMware platforms across the site, among other technologies.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for IT staff.
  • Recommend hardware and software solutions to meet end user and IT needs.
  • Support Cyber Security compliance and audit preparation in coordination with the Cyber Security Team.
  • Consults with internal departments to identify customer needs and include into both operational and project objectives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science and at least 5 years relevant experience.
  • An additional 5 years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree, with four or more of the technical categories listed below.
  • Microsoft Windows and Server Operating Systems.
  • Oracle, RHEL & Linux Operating Systems.
  • VMWare Horizon View, vCenter, vSphere.
  • Microsoft SCCM, System Center Suite and Patch Management.
  • Microsoft 365, EntraID and Exchange Hybrid environments.
  • Active Directory.
  • SAN Infrastructure.
  • Disaster recovery/contingency planning.
  • DFS Namespace and Replication.
  • DNS, DHCP.
  • Microsoft Certificate Authority, SSL certificates, KMS licensing.
  • Dell Wyse Management.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • DOE site experience.
  • Active DOE clearance.
  • Related industry-recognized certifications MCP, MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, Network+ and/or VMware VCP.
