EMT Trainee Job Description

The County of Gaston is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an EMT Trainee. As a Trainee, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in emergency medical services while working alongside our experienced staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shadow GEMS staff members during daily operations and tasks
  • Participate in different functions and/or events to build needed experience to become a certified EMT
  • Complete additional duties such as inventory management, vehicle maintenance, and warehouse inventory control

Requirements:

  • Graduation with a high school diploma or GED equivalency
  • Actively pursuing EMT certification
  • Valid driver's license
