Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team at Wastequip, LLC. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for delivering HR processes that support our mission and drive business success.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Operations: Manage the day-to-day aspects of HR, including staffing, performance management, compliance, discipline, benefit administration, training, and reporting.
  • Employee Relations: Coach supervisors on managing employee performance, counsel employees on job performance, attendance, and behaviors; collaborate with local leadership to make HR decisions.
  • Benefits and Compensation: Act as a liaison between employees and the company regarding payroll, benefits, and HR-related topics; ensure compliance with employment laws.
  • Training and Development: Lead the Safety Quality and Productivity scorecard for your site; coordinate with division safety leads to ensure safety logs and documentation are updated regularly and organized.
  • Investigations and Reporting: Conduct HR investigations and submit findings and recommendations to the plant leadership team; coordinate responses to site unemployment claims.
  • Recruitment and Talent Development: Coordinate non-exempt job placement, including posting jobs, evaluating applications, interviewing candidates, scheduling skills assessments, extending offers, and onboarding; work closely with the Operations Trainer to coordinate and facilitate training.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree preferred; comparable experience may be substituted for a degree; minimum Five (5) years of previous generalist experience required.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Strong HR Generalist background with 3-5 years as an HR Professional in a manufacturing environment; proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; detail-oriented with a high sense of urgency; bilingual in Spanish a plus.
  • Certifications and Licenses: PHR or SHRM CP certification is a plus.
