Your Role

As an Ambulatory Care Nurse at HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe, you will play a vital part in ensuring that our patients receive top-notch care throughout their entire experience. Your key responsibilities will include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients in our Ambulatory Care Unit, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve quality patient outcomes.

You will have opportunities to develop and expand your skills in areas such as critical thinking, scientific judgment, and technical skills, ultimately contributing to the delivery of safe nursing care to our patients.

What You Will Do:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients pre and post op in the Ambulatory Care Unit.
  • Independently deliver safe nursing care to patients using the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and technical skills.
  • Collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes.
  • Provide effective communication, confidence, and professionalism as evidenced by active engagement in unit and organizational activities.
  • Exhibit teamwork, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the patient care team.
  • Have accountability for delivering quality nursing care services and promoting a positive image of nursing.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of clinical experience as a registered nurse in a day surgery/pre-op setting preferred; or one year of medical/surgical acute care experience considered.
  • Current registered nurse license in the state of Texas or multi-state compact license.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification required.
  • Advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) and pediatric advanced life support (PALS) certifications preferred.
